What is a Unity Card?
The Unity Card is a noncommittal saving and advantage card for students and full-aged pupils.
Who is entitled to order and use the Unity Card?
The Unity Card may only be used by full-aged pupils and, of course, students; it is not transferable and may not be used by accompanying persons (unless declared otherwise by the business partner).
Will data protection regulations be observed when using the Unity Card?
Very accurately. The details you provide when ordering your Unity Card will not be passed on to third parties and are used for internal administrative and support purposes and, above all, for generating, individualising and forwarding to you your Unity Card. Apart from this, the Unity Card has no further chip systems for analysing your consumer behaviour. No data exchange is possible as the Unit Card reads and/or saves no data.
How does the Unity Card work?
Handling is easy as the Unity Card saves no data and is no means of payment. Just show your Unity Card at the entrance or before ordering etc and save money immediately.
IMPORTANT: Please note the following:
1. The Unity Card is only valid in conjunction with your valid pupil or student ID card; if required, both are to be shown.
2. For technical reasons, the Unity Card is to be shown before ordering something or before using services. If you show your card afterwards, e.g. when paying, the cooperating partner is not obliged anymore to allow the discount.
Why? Very simple: For example, in the catering business the order is immediately entered into the cash system. It is IMPOSSIBLE to modify the entry afterwards or to handle the issue at peak times and under time pressure.
Can my Unity Card be used by other persons?
No! Only the owner of the card is entitled to use it, i.e. the person whose name is on the card. If you make your Unity Card available to other persons, you will be liable for abuses of the card and you risk for the card to be blocked and/or withdrawn immediately without any financial compensation.
How do I get to know where I can use my Unity Card?
On the Unity Card Website you find under “Partner&Specials” the updated list of the business partners and their discounts and special actions. In addition, the Unity Card Pocket brochure is published approx. every 3 months; you can keep it in your wallet and use it any time. The Pocket Brochure is held available by your AStA office or some cooperating business partners.
The Unity Card (valid 12 full months) costs €16.50 incl. shipping, or €10.50 (valid for full 6 months) incl. shipping.

Do I have to reorder or cancel the Unity Card after expiry?
No; no matter whether you purchased your Unity Card within the framework of the special introduction scheme, the Ersti Specials or regularly, the Unity Card is no subscription scheme, there is no cancellation deadline and cancelling is not required.
Are there any monthly fees or follow-up expenses?
No. When ordering, you have to put down the amount of €16.50 incl. shipping (with the exception of the HSNR Special and the Ersti Special, which is free, and if you apply for a new card because you have lost the old one) all costs are settled for one year of validity.
How long is the Unity Card valid?
Your Unity Card is valid for full 12 months until the month of expiry printed on your card. (The expiry date is in the bottom right hand corner of the face of your Unity Card)
Will the Unity Card be renewed automatically (Subscription scheme)?
No. Your expired card will not be renewed automatically. If you wish to use the advantages of the Unity Card for another year, you should order your new Unity Card in good time.
I’ve lost my Unity Card: What now?
Send us an email with your name and your customer number. You will get an email back asking you to transfer €5.00 (incl. postage and shipping). After having received your transfer, we generate a new personalised Unity Card and post it to you. Of course, the remaining period of validity will be transferred to your new card.
