The concept

The Unity Card is a saving and advantage card geared to students' specific requirements and living conditions with the intention to make the great variety of goods and services on offer more attractive and, above all, more transparent to full-aged pupils and students, specifically in times of increased university fees and VAT.
On the one hand, this scheme enables the card owners to find their way around in all areas of daily life without having to take their own action or indeed having to dispense with quality.  At the same time, affiliated partner companies have access to a fine presentation platform as well as a maximum of attention within the day-to-day life of your target group. 


Furthermore, the Unity Card with its web site is an ideal information platform with the role of a city guide mainly for newly arrived students.  The Unity Card gives both recommendations and advice, and it creates transparency and shows what our University towns have on offer - and, most of all, where to find those offers.

 

Differentiation from competing schemes

What is the difference between the Unity Card and other student advantage cards?

The Unity Card is mainly a regional initiative with the intention to foster the attractiveness of Mönchengladbach and Krefeld in their role as university towns and to make more transparent offers geared to students in particular.
However, it has to be kept in mind that the Unity Card is not another „be stingy – be cool“  rebate scheme but pursues the intention to highlight the particularities and variety of the region and make them attractive and transparent for a young target group by creating financial incentives.


It is to be noted, however, that the Unity Card is neither a credit card system, nor a marketing research instrument for gaining personal data, nor a subscription scheme with cancellation deadlines. It is just a saving and advantage card without any hidden financial risks or personal commitments for the owner of the card. Simply from students for students ... and therefore unique throughout Germany!
